About SuburbRadar
Schools, childcare, neighbourhoods — all in one tool.
Families planning a move end up with a dozen tabs open: a school site, a childcare register, a property portal, a demographics report, a Google Maps walk-through. Each of those is built for a different audience, and none of them line up.
SuburbRadar pulls the whole decision into one view. The Move Planner compares where you live now with where you're thinking of going: school catchments and academic context, childcare services and their quality ratings, house prices and rent, incomes and demographics — with every figure attributed to its primary government source.
Who it's for
Families whose move is driven by their kids — choosing between suburbs for a school, weighing childcare options before a job change, or arriving in Australia and trying to decode an unfamiliar system. Plain English, no local slang, no scores you have to take on faith.
How we stay independent
Everything is computed from raw government data — ABS, ACARA, ACECQA and state education and valuation departments — never lifted from third-party lists. We publish nothing as financial, legal or property advice, and the data is free to use.
Status
We're in beta. Live today: population and growth (ABS ERP June 2025), Census 2021 demographics and SEIFA for every area, 9,755 schools with ICSEA (ACARA 2025), 18,217 childcare services with quality ratings (ACECQA), school catchment boundaries and property prices and rents for Victoria and New South Wales. Lifestyle metrics on some legacy suburb profiles are still labelled as samples while those integrations are replaced.
