Affiliate Disclosure

How we make money — and how we stay independent.

Last updated: 13 May 2026

The short version

Some outbound links on SuburbRadar — typically to mortgage brokers, building inspectors, conveyancers, buyer's agents, and similar property-related services — are affiliate links. If you click one of those links and complete an action (a quote request, a booking, a sign-up), we earn a commission. You pay no more than you would going direct.

How we label affiliate links

Affiliate links are labelled inline wherever they appear, with a short note such as "(SuburbRadar earns a commission if you book)". They are not hidden inside ordinary text links.

How we choose partners

We only feature partners we would recommend on independent merit. Selection criteria include licensing and accreditation, customer reviews, operating history, and whether their pricing is competitive in their category. We turn down placements that fail those checks regardless of the commission offered.

What affiliate income does not change

  • The data shown on suburb profiles. Demographics, schools, property and lifestyle metrics are computed from the primary sources listed in our Methodology, full stop.
  • Our editorial commentary on suburbs, schools, or markets.
  • Whether a suburb appears on the site.

Sponsored placements

If we ever publish a paid placement that is not a click-through affiliate link — for example, a featured listing or sponsored content — it will be labelled "Sponsored" and conform to ACCC guidance on advertising disclosures. As of the date above, no such placements exist.

Questions or concerns

Email suburbradar@gmail.com if you spot an undisclosed affiliate link, an unfair partner placement, or anything that reads like editorial influence by a paid relationship. We'll investigate and correct it on the public site.
